In the few years I have been on the “List”, I have read enough to think there are enough of us to have our own place. A place we can share our P-car history, current road trips, cars & maybe a little wisdom without the “old man” 30 year old replies. Certain requirements are needed to join the Seniors Club:
* You must have a sense of humor
* Minimum age - 59 (we can vote on that later, but need a starting point
* Current or past P-car jockey
* Each new member gets a “license” number
** I obviously claim #001
** First time visitors, scroll back & add 1 - declare your number on first post
Look forward to meeting everyone.

I hope I'm in the right forum now!
Great idea! I look forward to some great discussions. I''ll take the next number.
Me? Approaching 80, active with Porsches since 1973 with great stories and friendships for each owned. Settled in with a 991 and Macan. Cars:
- First, a 1973 914 2.0. Daily, autocross and tracked (PCA) all over the northeast.
- Second, a '74 911, purchased foolishly in 76 to avoid endlessly getting passed on the front straight at Summit Point.
- Third was a '78 911SC, a factory one-off campaigned for 30 years. Used as a daily, tracked and traveled everywhere from Trois Riviers to Daytona.
- Fourth, a Boxster S RS-60 , which, with AC was just right for my post-tracking, SCCA racing advancing age. It was my forever until 3 yrs later.
- Fifth, a launch edition 2012.5 991 S resulted from a deal I could not refuse. I still have it and have no plans not to.
- Sixth, a Macan S, bought from my local Porsche Zone rep after I experienced a Mac at a track day. Indelable memories from trip to Rennsport from Maryland in 2018.
- Seventh, a Macan Turbo (traded the Macan S), just because it is Porschier and easier on the body than the 991 (Sport PASM).
If anyone gets to Katies C&C Saturdays at Great Falls Va, stop by and say hi. Else I'll see you here!

If available I will take #40.
At 64 I am still grappling with the concept that I am a senior.......but I know I am. The young girl at the theater wants to sell me a senior ticket, at McDonalds they charge me for a senior drink and I can pay the senior price on the New Jersey train to NYC. My first 911 was a 1985 red Carrera Coupe which I bought in 1987. Really disliked the car (A/C could not be repaired, seats uncomfortable, difficult to shift into second gear which the dealer could not repair etc.......) and sold it in 1989 for about what I paid. Just picked up my second 911 in December (a 2024 911 Cabriolet 4S in colors that would make Ferdinand happy) which I waited two years for and was finally able to order to my specs. A wordly different car. I am enjoying this car and look forward to driving it now that the weather has gotten warmer here in PA. It is my fun car and not a daily driver. In fact, took a drive today with the top down in 70+ degree weather after having the dealer install the summer tires.

Didn't list my Porsche timeline in first post:
1. '88 930 cab (Gran Prix White/Navy/Navy).
2. '87 Carrera (Venetian Blue/Linen leather).
3. '98 C2S (Arena Red/Grey).
4. '97 Carrera (Pastel Yellow/Black).
5. '13 Boxster S (Mahogany/Espresso/Brown top).
6. '15 991.1 TT (Antracite Brown/Expresso/Cognac).
7. '16 Boxster GTS (Deep Blue Metallic/Black/Black top).
8. '17 Targa 4 S (PTS Viper Green/LTS Natural leather in Black/black top).
9. '19 991.2 C4 cab (Jet Black Metallic/black/black).
10. '22 99.2 C4S cab (Aventurine Green/Truffle/black top). Took delivery at PECATL. Well worth doing once (at $500 then).
11. '24 Targa 4S (Gentian Blue/ Exclusive leather in black/chalk/black top/silver bar). Incoming now waiting in Emden for a boat ride.
All MT except the '15TT which I got rid of after a year mainly due to the fact I found the PDK boring and "not for me".
My favorites were all the rest. I regret selling all but the TT but probably most regret the Pastel Yellow 993 and for some reason I really liked the '19 C4 cab. I would probably still be driving that 991 except it was COVID and I kept getting emails from the dealer asking for cars. I ended up trading it for an allocation for the '22 C4S, getting what I paid for it on trade after 2.5 years and 7500 miles.
One wife. Many cars...

I'll take 58,
Born in '58, so that makes me 65 right now.
Bought my first Porsche in May 2020. Right at the beginning of the pandemic. Dealer called me to give me additional discount and 'incentive' to sell me the car. Way different than today!
A 2019 Carmine Red C4S, PDK, leather interior, 18 ways seats.
Was a purchase for me and my wife of 47 years. She likes cars also! And she drives it! Got to "encourage" her to drive it fast and sometimes she does!
Was into 7 series BMW before. Big change.
Love the car!

I was a 60's love chile..
i am a relative newbie to Porsche ownership, having tried most other "affordable" performance cars i started wondering why are none of these cars any good... eventually arrived at what i thought i would buy, a 991.1, then test drove a 991.2 and was smitten, that ownership lasted just over a year, during which time i took ownership pf a 996.1 Aerokit car (the one in my bio)... then recently and having just announced i will be leaving my current place of employment later this year, my wife and I went halvesies on a 992.1 Carrera C2S Cab.
iv'e had a lot of cars over the years, a few of which are UK cars as i'm an Ex-Pat, '61 Triumph Herald was my first, then a '74 Triumph 2000 Saloon, then i restored a '67 MGB GT, a 1981 Colt Sapporo, Ford Cortina, Ford Escort, MG Montego Turbo, then emigration to this wonderful country USA USA USA!!! the list of American cars is Vast so just a couple of highlights, LT1 Trans Am followed by a few LS1 versions, many BMW's most of which were M cars, Dodge Hellcat and 2013 Dodge Viper (the good one) ... and on we go..anyone know of any earlybird special spots to get a good senior discount on supper... lol
