Overall, it's the 9-2-8 series for me. However, I at some point I want to own a 911 (through 993), a turbo (930 / 951), and a water-cooled 911 (996 or the new 997) in order to round out my experience with Porsches.

In terms of rennsport...it is the Porsche 917 and 904 for me in that order!

If I didnt vote for the V8 928 - I would of voted for the 951 or the 968.

I voted the 996 (because the gt3 is my favorite Porsche right now) but My favorite of all time is the 917!

- Hitbyastick - the 968 was just a tooled up 944 - we all know that!

Looks like someone's loading the vote .

Don't get me wrong the 928 is ok as far as the realm of things Porsche but ......as I said the fix is in .

Even Porsche thought the 928 was the best ever at one time when it was the flagship.

Having the distinction of being the first Porsche that didn't start it's life as a different make/model is worth something. First engine ever designed by Porsche on a clean sheet of paper.

How many 20+ year old 911's can run up front in a pack of GT3's. Including those by TRG and Kelly Moss? I know of two 928's that do.

In the end, they are all Porsche's and still better than any other brand.
