Ferrari 360

Not yet, but that's my "other" dream car. I'm working on it!
I would probably get the spyder, since the entire point of getting a ferrari would be the attention that it would generate, and the spyder would only enhance that.

I have a friend with both a 96 C4S and a 360 spider. He almost never drives the Porsche anymore and may sell it. I've driven both, and I love Porsches, but the red car is an EVENT every time you drive it. You can't compare them pricewise, but the 360 feels like a F1 car compared to the Porsche. Of course, for 3 or 4 times the cost it should!

With all due respect, if that's all you want a Ferrari for, just get a Testarossa and save a lot of money. Raise that big engine cover over the 12 banger and gawkers will come a-runnin. That may be the best looking engine compartment around.
To me, the main appeal of a Ferrari is the engine and the sound it makes, and the way it feels like you're going 60 when you're going twice that speed.

Both are sweet cars. Btw, I was looking at the testarossa as well. I can relive those "Miami Vice" memories..

As long as you don't relive any fake-Daytona-Spider-cobbled-from-a-Corvette memories.

imo ferraris have a carnal appeal.....something ache'n with lust, raw, wild that just gets your heart racing just standing near one. where a porsche is more refined....intellegent. i only wish i had the means to have both...someday.... someone posted a while back: "i cant wait for my midlife crisis"....me too!!
(pigforbill i agree w/ you on the engine.....a ferrari from 4k to redline is one of the most beautiful sounds!!)
