First race!
Doing our first race over the next two days, AER at NJMP. We’re a two man team and the race is, gasp, 14 hours long. Should be fun, right?

Qualified fourth on grid, fourth in class. Finished 3rd with the 3rd fastest car time. We lost 10 minutes in the first 10 minutes because of a loose splitter issue (pre-flight checklist now updated....) and fell to dead last (53rd). Two-manning the 14 hour wasn’t really that bad, in my opinion. I’m a bit sore right now, but I would do it again (hope we do, actually). Shout out to EPS for their crew and support. We had some issues to deal with throughout the 14 hour and they were on top of things!

Love your car. I was there on Friday and was looking at your aero bits. I have a 981 clubsport as well and was on the other side doing a DE event. What kind of times do you do with that set up? I have been looking to add aero.

Peak times in 27s. We ran MPSC2 240’s. This was our first race with the car, so not many other times to share at other tracks with this setup, etc.

A few pics from the race. The blue chrome really changes character based on the lighting and time of day.
As Charlie said, we'd definitely do this again. Overall the car was awesome. It's pretty easy to drive, which gives you confidence to keep up a good clip in a long race like this. We were generally conservative, as there are so many cars that can make things very unpredictable. We both backed out of a lot of passes. The most important thing in endurance racing is to stay out of trouble, which a lot of people seem to forget. We did get punted fairly hard once, but luckily for us, the impact was into one of our rear wheels. There was really no damage to our car...Porsche builds these cars strong! The other car's front end was pretty much toast and they were forced to retire. Plus they got a penalty for avoidable contact.
