Rear Facing Camera System

I'm also looking for a rear view camera system. It's shocking how useless the rear view mirror is in my 718 CS. I was looking at these two options. Any direct experience or advice between these two styles?

I would think the 7” would work but would round up on brightness.
I did find a professional grade product but did not bite the $$$$ bullet. I think it was this. https://www.gntx-r.com/civilian-products

I recently saw a 718CS with an inexpensive rear view system in which the display covered the car's interior mirror. The driver was very pleased with it. I'm pretty sure it was a Wolf Box unit, but don't know which model. If I recall correctly the camera cable lead to its plug was relatively short, which made it easy to connect inside the hatch, with the balance being the cable to the display. I don't recall how the device was powered.

Maybe worth considering is the Gentex unit https://www.gntx-r.com/civilian-products, bit spendy at ~$2500 but from what I've seen pretty solid system, well designed. Have a system on order for the R8.
GNTX-R® 2.0 - REAR VISION SYSTEM
- From Gentex, the leader in digital vision systems and Full Display Mirrors®
- Same technology used by OEM-sponsored race teams, including Audi, Nissan, Porsche, Toyota, and Cadillac
- Used on LMP1, LMP2, Dpi, GTLM and other vehicle classes
- Ideal for closed cockpit environments
- Easily mounts to roll bar or monocoque
- Kit includes camera, display mirror and cables

brandmotion: I tried this and it was nowhere close to bright enough for this purpose. Sadly also expensive to install.

Thanks for the tip on Brandmotion. That was one I was considering. I also saw that Gntx-R and was curious what the heck you get for all that $$$. But, for me, the visibility seems so poor that I don't wanna go out again in it until I have this resolved with some manner of quality rear view camera.

I bought a set up off Alibaba(?) just to try it out after watching a guy on Youtube who put one on his track car. Waterproof, wide angle lens, big screen and the camera is not crazy large. I haven't installed it yet but I think it was less than $100, certainly under $200. So... who knows? My though was, it can't be worse than the mirror situation which, parenthetically, I will leave in place.

I'm still trying to get this sorted. Tried a less expensive unit and it was uselessly dim and washed out. I'm now thinking I should just bite the bullet on the GNTX-R. Not having that rear view mirror just feels super dangerous to me -- especially running in mixed groups with lots of Cups and GT1 cars buzzing around me. Anybody have firm info on the WolfBox (or other advice)? Trying to decide if it's worth even giving this a try:
