Texas Get Together Thread
there is a thread in the 718 GT4 forum so I'm starting a mirror thread here
we had an excellent drive last weekend in the Texas Hill Country
post your driving events, concours or anything that might be of interest to Texas GT4 and Spyder owners (or any car enthusiast on here)

have you joined Hill Country PCA? they are always having events
or check out this thread, user dmk2 wants to do a three sisters run next week

if you want to have fun tracking, join Harris Hill (I can help you if you need assistance)
Hill Country just did their first autocross in the 15 years I've lived here
Longhorn used to have regular autocrosses but I think they gave up
We drive up to DFW but they have a great autocross program, Porsches run with EQUIPERAPIDE
SASCA runs in San Antonio and SPOKES runs with them or separately in Austin area
of course, you can always drive COTA with lots of different car clubs or Driver's Edge, Chin etc
and just waiting on our doorstep are the finest driving roads in the Hill Country
so, plenty of things to do
there's a Treffen for PCA in Kohler WI in October, registration opens Aug 5th I think
it will sell out very quickly, maybe 6 hours

I just meant any other local meets and stuff going on, like a cars and coffee type thing or something else like that.

Just a reminder, boxstoberfest is coming up in September in Fredericksburg. Really fun weekend. All porches welcome!

my wife and I attended Road-X autocross at Motorsport Ranch (Cresson)
autocross course setup on the 1.3 mile road course
Apex Driving Academy (no affiliation) put it together, props to them...lots of fun
would be great to see a bunch of Spyders and GT4s attend next year if they have one
there were 60 cars but only 3 Porsches

any interest in Texas Boxster/Cayman owners doing a meet up or drive Nov 20 or 21?
the guys/gals in the 718 GT4/Spyder are trying to drum up some interest

Longhorn region PCA is having a track event at Harris Hill in San Marcus on Saturday 20 November ( details on the Longhorn web site) don’t know if there are any openings left . We normally do four or five truck half days a year

I was there for the October one, unfortunately can't make the November one. Hopefully there's no running water like last time.
