Default 981 Spyder Spacer options?

Hey everyone, I'd like to eliminate some of the sunken wheel look on my Spyder, I have 8/12mm on order, but I'm worried about having taken things a little too far. Does anyone have experience with this? Pics would be great if it's not too much to ask!

I have found a few 981 threads regarding spacers, but they're all in regards to Carrera S or Sport Techno wheels and the X73 info is spotty.

Thanks in advance!

Whoa, come on skl. I’m also looking into spacers and would appreciate the input here.

Or if you have a patented solution you can PM me too😉

Hey man, I went with 5mm and 7mm, I think it's damn near perfect. The rear could have afforded 8mm for sure, however I wanted rennline spacers as they were the only company offering hubcentric for the front 5mm, but they don't offer an 8mm spacer so 7mm it was.

In my opinion, the front is spot the F on and the rear is "almost perfect," If you want to mix and match brands you can do rennline 5mm front and ECS 8mm rear. This would be ideal, for me anyway, but I'm VERY happy with my results. I considered exchanging my rears for the ECS 8mm's but it's just too much work even getting down to the post office for a lousy millimeter, lol.

I think going beyond 8mm will begin to teeter on mexi-flush territory. I'll try to get you photos tomorrow.

Do you have more photos of this from different angles? I'm just being curious now.
