Upcoming Cayman GT4

Burning Brakes
I almost bought a second spyder when I saw a prime one on the market recently. No justification whatsoever other than that I love the car. People don't know what they are missing

Maybe or maybe not. The R split on PDK vs manual was in high favor of the PDK. If the rumor of manual only is true for the GT4, which I personally still doubt, that number will be lower than you think.

Agree! But also a lot of potential buyers from 996 and 997 gt3 owners?

every performance option, bi-xenons and no AC
and I don't want black.
I would buy another. Same old toilet but what a toilet.

I was reading on a german forum that the specs (i.e. 0 to 100 km/h) for the Cayman GT4 are not that impressive, I hope they are wrong. Apparently someone got a hold of a brochure that was printed for the upcoming release. So this person claims that the difference between the Cayman R and GT4 is only 4 tenths to 62 mph... Here is the original text in case someone can get a better translation than my rusty German (i.e. Google).

Wouldn't worry too much about 0-62 differences, much of that is in the launch.
Trap speed is a more accurate measure of acceleration feel.
As some have said above, can see many potentially reevaluating what the GT4 really does that's much better than an R/Spyder,
also consider that many of the parts/performance improvements could be applied to an R/Spyder down the road if desired.
Getting HP out of a 3.8 swap in an R/Spyder is also easier due to the SDI3 being more open and soon having home user tunability.
Just some things to think about, although may not matter for someone who has to have new/warranty etc.

They are a great car and I'm having one at some point unless Porsche builds something like it on the latest platform.
People just do not know how much fun they really are.
Best looking boxster to date and a worthy keeper.
