30,000 mile service
My wife’ s 2015 Macan Turbo is due for its major service at 30,000 miles. What have others been paying for plugs/PDK service? Oil was changed recently as were air / cabin filters. I use an Indy, I’m located in Houston

Perhaps something has changed but every list I have indicates spark plugs at 30,000 miles but PDK oil & filter change at 40,000 miles. Are you basing this on the vehicle being 4 years old rather than the mileage?

I have seen the 40k mile/4 year service costs at the dealer vary a great deal from posts on the forums. The PDK service is done at that time. Anywhere from $1,800 to close to $3,000. Most indy shops that I have dealt with only do what you ask although I'm certain they do have access to the same checklist that the dealer uses to do services. In my experience with my indy they typically don't do all the items on the dealer checklist; e.g., "Check firewall body drains for debris". This from the "Maintenance Checklist". My plugs were done 30k miles/three year service by my local Porsche dealer. I purchased certified preowned so I go by the recommended Porsche schedules. Did the same with my Cayman. Sometimes I do DIY; e.g., engine oil and filter, engine air filters, wipers and cabin air filter keeping all receipts. I go to my indy for brake fluid flushes every two years and will most likely go to the dealer for the four year/40k mile service.

Just did 30k this week on my 17 Turbo. Plugs were $370 oil was $140. Parts and labor. Indy shop. Haven’t done PDK yet

$1800 is what I paid for my lift.
Perhaps next year I should start doing PDK services for the Cincinnati/Dayton market. I think $1500 would be worth giving up a Saturday morning.

Macan S......Local dealer quoted 30,000 mile service at $925. Oil and filters, along with spark plugs.

Was just at Porsche Chandler and asked them about 30K service for our '17 GTS. Said around $850. Trying to activate the Porsche Connect service- not easy even though first owner's contract is closed. Wouldn't accept the code after several attempts...

Yeah not the most user-friendly process I've ever encountered. I just did mine while at the dealer with their assistance. Made a big difference.

Greetings all,
I figured I would post my 30,000 mile service experience, including work performed, parts & pricing:
1. Brake Job - Rear (Replace Pads & Rotors), Wear Sensor & Hardware Kit: $907.84
2. Brake Job - Front (S/A above & Caliper Bolts): $1207.49
3. V6 Annual Service: $360.00
4. Cabin Air Filter Replacement: $98.47
5. Brake Flush: $245.51
6. Alignment to Correct Feathering of New Tires (purchased at Discount Tire): $269.94
7. Windshield Wiper Inserts: $90.60
8. Wheel Wash w/brake Flush: $144.00
9. Shop Charges: $20.00
10. Tax: $222.59
11. Total for service: $3,566.44
This will at least give some owners a ball park figure of what to expect when taking your Macan S in for the 30k mile service. In addition to the above, I spent approx. $1225 for four new staggered tires (Pirelli Scorpion Zero A/S) for 20" rims.
YMMV, but I learned that my wife drives somewhat aggressively and her commute to work has several long hills; hence, the reason I needed new brakes and tires within 30k miles.
I was surprised to note that the rear brakes were worn more than the fronts???
I was further surprised to learn that when the Macan S' Service Brakes light illuminates, the brake pads & rotors must be replaced, b/c the rotors are very narrow & fragile, allowing a thicker brake pad... This was relayed to me by the Service Technician!

Do you have PTV on your Macan that could explain the rear brake wear. As a side note, the Q5 was also replace rotors and pads at the same time. The rotors are not that thick, so they maybe in spec but not for long, so while you are in there it’s easier to just replace the rotors at the same time,
