2017 GTS vs 2015 turbo
I have a 996 C2 for occasional track days and my fun car.
I am contemplating a macan purchase to replace my daily driver.I am cross shopping cars.
i don’t want a black car or neighs interior and I want PASM plus or minus air suspension. Besides that i am open to an S up to a turbo but pricing between the S,GTS, And turbo varies.. case in point
I found a macan turbo on vroom. Silver on red 2015 vin

it has around 10k miles and is priced at $52k
i found a 2017 GTS at a local
non Porsche dealer blue over red vin

Around 27k miles for 54k$
The turbo has one key and is an online dealer. The turbo is an older car but low miles... how is the price?
the GTS is newer but slightly more $ and more miles. Is there anything significant between MY2015 and 2017 that would steer you towards the newer car or is a turbo for a similar price the way to go despite being older?
i haven’t done enough research about subtle differences between model years. I do see the headlight design is different between the two and the GTS appears to have LED while the turbo is HID. Any major differences between model years i should be aware of?

It would appear neither car is a CPO vehicle. I would recommend CPO in any case. The GTS has almost 3X the
number of miles on it (read: wear & tear) when compared to the Turbo. I would shy away from any car that doesn't
provide both of the keys it is supposed to have.
You should do yourself a favor and conduct additional research to better understand the differences between the
Turbo and GTS models. The Turbo has better low-end torque than does the GTS. This is where most people do
their daily driving. If you want to approximate the low-end push/pull of the Turbo in the GTS, you'll need to install
an aftermarket piggyback device or a flash tune.
As far as headlights go (in the US market) there's little, if any (it depends on the perception of the individual) difference
between the Xenon HIDs and the LEDs.
The GTS model was added to slot between the S and Turbo models. More HP/TQ than the S and less than the Turbo.
It comes standard with a bunch of items that are options on the S. It rides slightly lower than the Turbo, and this may be
addressed by installing an aftermarket lowering module in a Turbo model. The Turbo comes with more standard features
bundled with it than does the GTS. Of course, it typically co$ts more than a GTS.

The main benefit of a CPO being a warranty? What is typical warranty of cpo
i would use the no key as a negotiating point and look to pay less than what it is listed at for the turbo. If it’s one of those no haggle online dealerships it would be a hard pass

Knowing myself the way I do, always buy the highest performance model in the range, then upgrade and mod from there. Otherwise you spend a lot of money trying to make the lesser model like that you wish you'd bought. It's why my Cayenne is a TTS model and my 997 a RUF.
I say Turbo. PDK failures on Macans are a concern where getting a CPO one advice is valid.

We have a '17 GTS and I agree on the headlights- the LEDs are a big step forward in lighting. I also agree on the CPO aspect. I like having the warranty, in my case, until January of 2024 or 100K miles. We will hit the January '24 washout before the 100K mark. For me it is just peace of mind as the electronics on these are quite pricey. Additionally, should we need to sell the GTS prior to 1/24, the CPO warranty is a nice selling point.
