18 way vs 14 way seats
Besides the obvious “just sit in them”, my small dealer doesn’t have these to try. Can you share your experience with the Macan seats you have. I’m ordering a Macan Turbo and getting the 18 way seats (because they look great) but the order is not locked for a while. The 14 way seats are called comfort seats... the only obvious difference I can see is less side bolster which might make them more comfortable for some people. My wife and I are both in the small side and the bucket seats in my other Porsche are quite comfortable. Any recommendations? Should I drive an hour away to sit in them or just take a chance on the 18 ways. Thanks 🙏

14 ways would be my pick. Smaller bolsters make going in and out of the car much easier. Although if you are small and you have proper buckets in the speedster you may find there to be too little support. If you go with the 18 ways the bolsters will age quickly from getting in and out of the car.

if you are smaller framed and like that fitted hug feel, def consider the 18 way. You can adjust the bolsters to your body and get that lovely custom tailored feel. I am smaller and would be my choice for sure if I were doing an order.

get the 14 ways, the 18 ways are tight, I am tall, not really wide, but my 18 ways in my gt3 feel huge compared to my 18 ways in my Macan gts. Is was used, so could not pick, just get the 14 ways and be happy. If you dont like them, I will swap my 18 ways for your 14 ways.lol

I have the 18 ways and like them. Just keep in mind that with the 18 ways seats, you climb OVER them to get in...you don’t just slide in. But once in, they’re nice. Just something to bear in mind during your decision process.

For smaller frames 18-way are THE BEST!!! No comparison IMO. I have them and wouldn't want anything else. Plus they are the only seats that will come close to the feel of the buckets on your other cars.

I am 5’11” 175 lbs and the 14 ways are like magic. Possibly the beat seats I’ve ever experienced (loaners). Way more comfortable than the 18 ways that I’m stuck with. 18 ways are narrow. My next Macan I’m not going to make the same mistake
I would only get the 18 way if you are thin. Not average. But truly skinny. If you are overweight forget about it.

im 6'4 but 36 waist, and no ***, lol and the 18ways are not friendly for those larger people. i am getting mine modified to widen the side bolster on the lower seat cushion. I have adapted to them, but i would never buy them in this car. I am not sure if the newer cars have different seating. but these are tight!

Does anyone find the bottom cushion (on the 14 way) hard?
BTW, are the Recaro's offered on the Macan?

I'm 160 lbs with a 36" waist and I love the 18 ways. There is no extra wear or tear on my 18 ways after 20K miles. The 14 ways were too loose for me.

we tried both on ours my wife, very small, preferred the 14 ways. 18 ways look better... for a daily, i'm not sure it matters.

Appreciate all the advice! I’m only 5’6” 165# so I should be ok with the 18 ways. However, my wife and I daily drive Teslas and this would be our travel car (I hate waiting an hour at Supercharger stations going to the mountains or the beach) and I want it to be as comfortable as possible. I guess I should drive somewhere to try them both out. Thanks everyone!
