Trailer Hitch without Tow Ball include any other upgrades?
Looking into used/CPO Macan S for occasional towing. Does this factory option include bigger oil coolers and/or anything else related to increasing the towing capabilities of the vehicle's internals? Or is it just the mounting hardware/wiring and nothing else? I asked a dealer and they said it's just the mounting hardware. I emailed Porsche AG but got no response, and searched the threads here. Just asking for a second opinion before spending tens of thousands of $. Thanks!

You will need:
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU955TPLUG.html
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/TRADX.html
https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/95XHCV.html
My only complaint is that these three things didn't come standard with the factory hitch. Makes no sense. Have trailered my ride-on mowers several times with my 19 Macan S several times. On the hunt for a lightweight car trailer to tow my sports cars.

Yes, mine came with a plain cover as well, but who wants a plain cover. The actual cover I bought was from PCA.

Thanks for the responses! Purchased a gorgeous silver 2017 Macan S, 16,500mi lease return still under warranty. I can add the trailer hitch later. No used ones with or without the hitch came close to this one, and I got a thousand off because of it: $45,997. Cheers!

Bringing up this thread from the pits... I picked up a 2017 Macan base CPO this week. The only thing it's missing is a trailer hitch to tow my jet ski. I would like to have one installed, with minimal invasion.
Asking other owners out there for recommendations... what to buy and where to get it installed?
I did a bunch of research on the internet. Information is scarce. Here are the options I am aware of so far:
1) Curt C13136. Same as U-haul 78269. Cheap. ~$200. Lower fascia needs to be cut, plus holes drilled into spare tire pan. <- not a fan of drilling holes into body
2) Draw-tite 75940. Same as U-haul 41580. Cheap. ~$200. Lower fascia needs to be cut, but at least no holes drilled. Seems to have the least ground clearance.
3) Stealth Hitches SH84FRT. Expensive. ~$1000. Lower fascia needs to be cut, no holes. Seems like a lot of bits and pieces.
4) Porsche OEM part # 95B-044-802-31. Expensive. ~$1000. Unknown instructions. Does not specify what to do with valence.
5) Porsche part PKMACANHITCH. (Seems to be a Suncoast exclusive?). Expensive. ~$1000. It says they include a new fascia. No instructions known.
I'm planning to make some calls later this week. Just hate the thought of someone cutting up the plastic trim with a dremel. Not opposed to paying a little more to get a clean job but none of the above answers some basic questions, like how is this thing powered, and will I get error codes?
Does anyone know the difference between option #4 and #5?
How much does a Porsche dealer charge for the install?

You can buy the OEM trailer hitch off of a Audi Q5 and save a few dollars off the Porsche Tax. The installation is pretty straight forward and the biggest part of the job it taking off the rear bumper cover. If you connect the wiring harness, you might need to go the dealer and have them program it with a PIWIIS.
Here is a link for a pretty well detailed removal of the bumper cover.

Intermediate update:
If you order the following single part number from Porsche,
95B-044-802-31
...you will get everything below. I paid $950, and most importantly, it comes with the fascia so I won't have to cut anything.
Looks like it's all in here. Going to take it to a local mechanic in a few days to have it installed.

There is a guy in Miami, that makes hitches for the 911. Concealed behind the license plate. He uses the impact bar and welds a receiver. Pretty neat and also useful to carry bikes around. The only issue is that a 3x3 inch square needs to be cut on the bumper behind the license plate.
