We bought a Macan S because the base was way to slow to react to throttle imput. Damn near killed me as I tried to cross 2 lanes of traffic. That was 3 years ago. Now after 2 years with the Mac S, the throttle response is so bad, it too has become dangerous. It's still under warranty, but, I'm tempted to take it to the indi shop we use for my 991. Previous complaints and visits to the dealer for repair have not fixed it.

Seems like from reading here on the Macan forum for the past few months everyone installs a Sprint Booster or Pedal Commander type device to eliminate this issue. I expect I'll do the same when our 2022 arrives.
I installed the Sprint Booster today on my '22 Macan GTS and as expected, what a difference! I have the Pedalbox on my R8 and wanted to liven up the Macan as well. The Macan has a more sluggish gas pedal than any other car that I have owned. $280 well spent. Installation is literally 5 minutes. The hardest part is laying on your back and removing the gas pedal. Just remove a T30 nut and voila!

I installed a pedal commander, but it doesn't remove the lag, but seems to make the car lurch after the lag is over. What setting are you using? That might be my problem.
Pedal Commander. I refused to buy one for a couple months and just drove around in sport mode all the time. I'm glad I spent the $300, City+1 is the sweet spot for best daily driving, if I need more I just hit the sport button and/or rev it up to use the cobb tune!
With that said, I'm shocked Porsche sells a car with such poor and inconsistent throttle response, but I'm also shocked its such an easy fix.
I also noticed this throttle response in our new 22 S but to be honest I don't see an issue here. Throttle response is just mapped differently from most other cars. We just need to train ourselves to use more pedal travel and press faster. These gadgets do nothing else apart from this.

Doesn’t make the car go faster for sure. The sluggish pedal is enough to make me want to ditch the car. $280 well spent. This device definitely enhances the driving experience for me and that’s good enough for me.
Is there one of these solutions that does not require me to mount an aftermarket control module on the dash? Like just plug in down at the accelerator and no control module, or removable control module? I want one but don't want the button box on the dash.
With pedal commander you can use your phone to make changes in settings (pedal commander app). Everything else including the pedal commander controller can be completely hidden away. I haven't seen or touched mine since installation. We all have our phones with us so it's a no brainer. In my case I also have the rennline phone mount so I can conveniently change the pedal commander settings on the fly. I too use City +1, and if I ever feel i need more I use the paddle shifters.

There are plenty of places to hide the controller (ie. under the steering column). Pedalbox and Pedal Commander can be controlled by Bluetooth as well.
