Default Help me diagnose this issue (PDK?)

First of all, my 2018 GTS has been the most trouble free car I've owned. I love it.

I am new to the macan forum. Have other porsches. Can someone help me diagnose this issue? Is this PDK related? Transfer case related?

In the past 3 months, i've had several times when I've shifted from park to drive and put my foot on the gas. The car has either hesitated significantly or stalled. This is new in the past three months. It doesnt happen all the time and I haven't been able to discern a pattern.

What says the peanut gallery?

Afraid so. As I responded in my thread...I know it is long...yours could be a simple fix or maybe not. Since you have warrenty take it to the dealer without hesitation. This was part of the symptomology of what happened to mine. More and more people are having transmission problems.

Audis with the DSG and Auto start/stop have this issue. Do you have the auto start/stop enabled when it's happening? If so, turn it off and see if it still happens.

Definitely turn off the start/stop and try a PDK TCU reset first.

I had driven about 7-8 Macans from the dealer (mostly loaners),
and not a single one of them has that feature turn on 😂

And THANK YOU Porsche for letting it to STAY OFF!
My Merz will reset the setting and turn it back on every time the car is re-start.

Greetings from sunny Greece!

I'm excited to share that I've recently acquired my first Porsche—a 2017 Macan S with around 50,000 kilometers on the clock. It's been an incredible experience so far, offering a remarkably smooth ride. However, I encountered a bit of a hiccup when attempting to reset the PDK following instructions I found online.

After the reset procedure, I noticed some concerning changes in the car's behavior. It seemed to become rather unfriendly, exhibiting erratic driving patterns and vibrations, particularly when cruising between 120-130 km/h. Naturally, I'm hoping this issue is simply a result of the PDK reset and that recalibrating it will resolve the issue, rather than being indicative of a more serious problem such as with the transfer box, which I've seen others complain about.
Any idea how to diagnose the cause of the problem?

Sounds similar to mine, i brought the first PDK service and transfer box change forward and it's been fine ever since.

In my experience (996 and 928) Porsche gearbox oil changes are too far apart so i do them every c20k miles now.

I would say you need to take it in for service. I've owned NUMEROUS PDK equipped Porsche's (911's, Boxster/Cayman and 3 Macans) and have never experienced the issue(s) you're describing. I've had a 2017 Macan GTS with zero PDK issues and my current 2024 GTS has zero PDK issues.

Have you not defaulted to that annoying engine cutoff thingie when stopping? Sometimes if you kept that engine cutoff there’s a delay.
