Macan GTS Must haves
Hey everyone! I'm looking to purchase a Macan GTS by the end of the year (tax reasons). Looking at 2021-2023. Coming from a GT4 I don't know much about must-have options.
What are your must-haves in your opinion? TIA!

'23 GTS standard options IMO are mostly what you need, assuming you don't try to make the macan feel like your GT4. Would add sport chrono and a pedal commander and you're good to go

I have had my 2023 for a 7 weeks. I got a lot of options. These are the ones I enjoy the most (everyday) and I would call "must haves":
Sport Package - $12K - gets you PTV +, 18 way seats, GT steering wheel, GTS interior (red, white or green stitching throughout), carbon interior and door sills, nicer wheels etc.
Burnmeister - to me this makes the vehicle so much nicer to live with daily.
Surround View
Lane Change Assist
Nice to have's
LED headlights, black surround
Thermally insulated Glass
Dashboard Trim in leather
Smartphone compartment with wireless charging
GL finding what you want - you will love it!

The biggest difference was between the '21 and '22 model year that got refreshed, the GTS went form 375 to 434 HP. Whether or not this makes much difference in terms of performance is arguable as there have been several tests done comparing the '22 S (which has the same engine as the '21 GTS) and the '22 GTS and they were nearly identical.

1st must have is a warranty to cover the PDK

Surround view camera and Adaptive cruise are the must haves. Not having these two things is resale suicide, even if you don't want them. I think adaptive cruise is standard starting in 2023.
Here is my 2022 GTS build. Two things I might decide not to have spec'd/paid for now that we've put 10K miles on the vehicle are the Thermally Insulated Glass and the the Smartphone compartment w/ wireless charging. The insulated glass has made toll passes and radar detectors a PITA, even using the specified "zones" for them. The smartphone compartment charger intermittently works if you use your phone with a case on it, it's designed only for a bare phone, which is silly b/c I use a wireless charger at home w/ the phone every day w/ a case on it and it works fine. With the glass I may just install a non-insulated windshield when the time comes to replace it, I have no issues w/ the insulated side/rear windows.
I was reluctant to get Lane Keep Assist but my dealer encouraged it b/c it works together w/ Adaptive cruise. I will say that I turn it off around town, but on the highway I find the Macan's steering to be a bit "twitchy". After taking a couple road trips w/ the car I learned that turning on LKA really calms down the steering sensitivity at high speeds and makes the car much more comfortable to drive on the highway.

Nice! I, too, have a Sapphire Blue 981 GT4. Just picked up a '23 Macan GTS. Definitely get PTV+, Sport Chrono, GT steering wheel, and 18 way seats. All other stuff is per preference.

I owned a 2018 Macan GTS for 4 years with 14 way seats. My 2022 GTS has the 18 way seats. They have been far more comfortable, especially on longer drives. My lower back would always tighten up on longer drives in the 18 GTS. I would add a cushion in an attempt to alleviate the discomfort. Never been an issue in the 18 way seats, including many long drives. Well worth the extra cost for me.

I have a 22GTS. IMO, the only must haves for me were Sport Chrono, PTV, Heated GT Sport steering wheel, and color-matched blades. I didn't want the moonroof and unfortunately, I think the 23's are stuck with the adaptive cruise and the camera bubble. Also, remember that if you ever see yourself using a roof box, make sure you click the button for roof rails as they cannot be added later.
I would also add, that if you are ordering the GTS, the stock 8-way GTS seats are the best seat I have ever had. I have owned a lot of cars.
