Default 2025 Macan.. What will it be?

I will be replacing our 2022 S with a 2025 IF there is still an ICE... We had a 2019, which my son now has, and I will probably buy out the lease on the 22 and sell it...BUT only if I can order an ICE
Otherwise....The 2022 will become our last MACAN I DO NOT WANT AN EV

It looks like the ICE Macan will continue through 2025, after that we have not seen any info from Porsche. In my opinion it will continue much longer than that along side the EV, but who knows.

I think that PORSCHE will regret discontinuing the ICE if they do....

Agree. USA is making very little effort into building infrastructure to support widespread EVs. I said 5 years ago if Porsche were smart they would be building ICE plants in the USA as Germany will no longer allow them to be built there soon....but the demand for them will continue until the infrastructure catches up.

My prediction:
base - carryover corporate VAG 2.0T I4
T - gone temporarily
S - carryover corporate VAG 2.9T V6 with small power bump
GTS - gone temporarily or possibly mild hybrid V6
Turbo/Turbo S - EV

EV charging infrastructure will see little advancement over the next 2 years in the majority of the US. It would make no sense for Porsche to no longer sell ICE versions of their best selling model especially since EU has extended their deadline to 2035. The availability of charging stations along the coastal states is NOT the norm for the majority of the country.

Well my hope is that, with Porsche's investment in these synthetic fuels, it slows (or stops? hey we can dream can't we) this EV nonsense and we continue on with ICE's.

I deliberately opted to order my 23 GTS because of the threats that the next one will be EV.... so to me, this was my "last chance" to buy a NEW Porsche because I'm not buying an EV. Maybe now this means my GTS won't be my last "new" Porsche.

No one is going to pay $15/gallon to gas up a Macan with synfuels.

Porsche was utterly verrückt not to make the upcoming EV a hybrid. Not interested in a Macan that can't run 400 miles and be ready for another 400 in 10 minutes. I am interested in one that can do the above while not even firing up its ICE to reach the grocery store a mile away.... but that's not what Porsche is building.

I'm reading the Macan EV will be released in late '23 as a '24, my question is will the '24 ICE version be all new as well? Is the current gen Macan in its final year of production? I ask because I'm interested in the Macan S but not if the '23 is going to be the last year before an overhaul.

No update to the ICE Macan is planned, period. New EV version comes out as you've mentioned and the current ICE model continues alongside it for a year or so... likely minor tweaks at most. Appears the 2024 is exactly the same as the 2023 (which is also basically the same as the 2022).

If you're interested in the last ICE Macan get your order in soon...

From the perspective of "retaining value" I hope you are right. But realistically, I won't be getting rid of my new GTS until it's got 100k+ on it... so value by then will be largely moot.

Only difference will be if I will have a chance to buy a NEW Porsche again or not... I'm not buying an EV, and I'm just not a 911 guy.

Exactly the reason why I ordered and will soon be taking delivery of my 2023 Macan GTS. Soon, twin turbo 6-Cylinder ICE Macan’s will be unicorns. If you want one, do the sure thing and order now. Just look at what recently happened to the Spyder and GT4. Porsche has ended production, and those waiting will now be waiting forever or shopping the pre-owned market.

for that matter why not buying a new Cayenne 4.0 V8 until 2030?
