You seem familiar with the Los Angeles area. Yes, I absolutely would. I value my driving and dealer experience that much. What positive experiences have you had at Porsche Westlake?

Odd that you disparage the Macan 2.0, but trust Porsche with their other engineering. Your contention is completely unfounded and ignorant of the fact that in the mid sized SUV market the 2.0 engine is quite popular among more than a few manufacturers. Perhaps the 2.0 isn't fast enough to get you from one stop light to another, but there will always be something bigger, faster and more expensive. The fact is these are SUVs not sports cars and Porsche has no obligation or even intention to make you feel that any car they provide you will be the equivalent of a 911. Get a life and stay in Seattle or LA or wherever else you appear to call home.

You're absolutely correct that the 2.0 4 cylinders control the mid sized SUV market. The 4 cylinder Macan's sell quite well. And you're correct also that they have no obligation to provide a 911. I appreciate the message, I'll let you know when I'm in PA. Stay well.

To have a loaner car or a Porsche for that matter is an ABSOLUTE privilege. It's not a burden at all. Considering the costs associated with any new car or coupe, if there is a loaner option that is able to correctly inform me of how I should make my next purchasing decision, I'd like to know.

My apologies for offending you. My title was poorly written.
I should clarify – I am referring to the base/4 cylinder Macan ENGINE. Ghetto has multiple meanings. The 4 cylinder engine is "makeshift," "shoddy," its the incorrect work horse for a car that can MSRP at $70k plus.
The new Macans are beautiful, but a well optioned Macan should not have a 261 HP VW engine.

I understand that the days of naturally aspirated V10's, Twin Turbo V8's and V6's are becoming few and far in between.
I am in the market for a coupe hence why I asked the question.
To have a loaner car is a privilege but for a brand such as Porsche - if a better option exists (and if 911/718 loaners are available just as they were pre covid), I'd like to know.

Say what you want, you're on a Porsche forum.
Based on that information alone and your profile – you probably have a similar level of privilege (potentially higher) than me *insert shoulder shrug*

This thread is a train wreck and already got the OP banned at another forum, but its interesting to know what dealerships around the US, Canada or the world offer other than Macans.

I've had two loaners in the past year. The first was a Cayenne Platinum and the second a base Macan that was very nicely optioned. I enjoyed the Macan more since it helped me compare the 2023 loaner to my 2021. I casually brought up loaners with my SA at Champion in South Florida and she said that there is a Cayenne Coupe and a Taycan available, aside from the Macans. I will try to secure the Cayenne Coupe next time since that's a potential future purchase and a much better experience to live with the car for a few days than take a short test drive.

I'm curious to hear what others have experienced, other than the Macan.

I never understand the complaints about the 4cyl macan….

One of my other vehicles is a Mercedes with over 600hp, I know what fast feels like.

The 4cyl absolutely has more than enough power to blast past traffic well up into speeds that will get you arrested.

It is a very boring sounding engine most of the time, but the power is completely fine.

I’m kinda put out that I can’t get decent sushi at my Porsche dealership.

I heard that Porsche Salt Lake City has a new Hibachi Grill, awaiting your Yelp review so I can plan accordingly

I appreciate your insight.
My reply to your comment got taken down on the other thread, but I hope that you were able to see it.
I 100% agree with your comment, it is interesting to see what dealers are offering. I am lucky to have CPO coverage on a car that has depreciated enough as to where I do not have to worry about it. &, lol, yes. Both threads are a train wreck. Apologies to you or to anyone who thought that my use of the term ghetto was being used in a different connotation.
