Non Ghetto Loaner Cars
I've been taking my Porsche in for service.. Well, a lot.
Does anyone know of any Porsche dealers in LA (there's about 15 or so) that CURRENTLY carry 718 or 911 loaner cars? I heard that this was more common back in the day..
It is my opinion that the 261 hp VW 4 cylinder Macan engine is Ghetto – it is "makeshift, shoddy." It's an absolute privilege to have a loaner car, but the 4 cylinder isn't the right application for this kind of an enthusiast SUV. It's not a burden at all, yes the Macans are BEAUTIFUL cars (I own a Macan Turbo that I adore) but I am in the market for an additional vehicle – hence why I am asking this question.

Poor you, having to put up with a low end Porsche for a loaner. Sorry to hear you consider the Macan a ghetto car. Even if I didn't own one (as well as a 911) I consider that an extremely offensive remark.

They locked the thread on macanforum when this troll showed up. Should just do the same here. Some kid playing on his parents' computer, most likely.

Perhaps the reason they are using the 4-cylinder cars is they may be more dependable?

I guess he forgot the "i" between the "ss" in his handle...

My apologies for tickling anyone's feathers. My title was poorly written.
I should clarify – I am referring to the base/4 cylinder Macan ENGINE. Ghetto has multiple meanings. The 4 cylinder engine is "makeshift," "shoddy," its the incorrect work horse for a car that can MSRP at $70k plus.
The new Macans are beautiful, but a well optioned Macan should not have a 261 HP VW engine.
I understand that the days of naturally aspirated V10's, Twin Turbo V8's and V6's are becoming few and far in between.
I am in the market for a coupe hence why I asked the question.
To have a loaner car is a privilege but for a brand such as Porsche - if a better option exists (and if 911/718 loaners are available just as they were pre covid), I'd like to know.
My SA understands that I like driving, hence why he is investigating. CPO coverage allots for a Porsche rental car through Enterprise.
It sounds like there are often 718s and 911s at the Enterprise Exotics 0.4 miles from my local dealer.

Makes sense. In case you're interested – there's a VW 4 cylinder engine forum that may interest you:
