Sport Exhaust vs Standard
On a 2023 or 2024 Macan S / GTS is there a huge difference between standard and Sport Exhaust?
Impressions and opinions welcome.

I have it on my GTS. Cold starts sound pretty good. There's also lots of pops and burbles when you let off the gas. I can't say it sounds particularly aggressive when on the throttle or cruising. For me it's more of a low speed effect.
I'll also add that it seems to have gotten louder after the first couple months. Might be some of the batting in the mufflers settling into place over time. When I first took delivery of the car I thought it was too quiet. Now I sometimes turn it off late at night to avoid the pops disturbing the neighbors.
This is my 1st Macan so I can't compare it to the standard exhaust.

Would you order again knowing what you now know? Hypothetically of course... I'm told all future Macans will be very quiet!!

On an S I wouldn't necessarily think it's worth the extra money. I also probably wouldn't care so much that my S sounds aggressive. On the GTS I would definitely want it, but since it's standard on the GTSit's a moot point there.

I got my 2024 GTS about a month ago and also thought the sport exhaust was very quiet and barely noticeable initially. It's a bit louder now but relative to my 991.2 4GTS, it's still quite quiet and i wish it was a tad louder.
When I'm driving my clients around I'm usually in normal mode and it's very quiet. When I'm enjoying the drive myself I'm always in sport mode with the sport exhaust turned on. It's not much louder compared to normal mode but to me it's necessary and I wouldn't want the car without the sport exhaust.

As a comparison, my 2015 Macan S came with a modified sport exhaust that was LOUD... like deafening on cold start and a touch annoying while highway cruising. It was fun but I prefer the new GTS for the sake of my ears.

A little late, but I don't see any other Macan S responses. I have a '23 Macan S with Sport Exhaust. It was one of my "must have" options and I'm so glad I got it. In normal mode, cruising around, the exhaust is fairly quiet. It still sounds good, but it's not going to get anyone's attention. With Sport Exhaust activated, it turns into a snarling beast. Keep in mind, today's S is basically what was the GTS one model ago, and the current S and GTS share the same engine, so the S is a proper sporty SUV.

I have a 2022 S w/ SC and without PSE, and a buddy has a 2022 GTS with PSE - both exhausts are valved, the GTS might be a touch louder. but not ~2500 dollars worth it. This is a stock vs stock comparo.
I bought the S after the guy that ordered it backed out on it and the dealer called me and I picked it up, and I was concerned about not having PSE but I'm very happy. This is with my 991.1 having the Sharkwerks center exhaust delete so I enjoy a bit of noise without being obnoxious.
I did recently put a Cobb OTS Stage 1 91 octane tune on the Macan and it makes a huge difference in power but it also makes the exhaust snarl a bit more, worth every penny.
TL/DR I don't think you can go wrong either way, but I'd spend it on the 21's instead of the 20's - my only complain about his build on my 22'

For the GTS you get no hp gain and only 10 ft. lb. of torque on average with peak increase of hp it actually loses 5 hp and at peak torque it makes an increase of 34 ft. lbs. with the 91 tune - which will make little difference and would not be money well spent IMO.
Which shows Porsche has given us all they can with the GTS, given the fuel constraints we work with everyday!
