I think we need something better than the GTS.

I have a GTS and love it but I think we need a higher performing variant.

4.3 seconds 0-60 is too slow now a days

Haha, family SUV that does 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, oh what a world we live in.

Interesting question though. Since Porsche seems to be doing 'GT' models, maybe we will get something for the Macan? We have the Cayenne GT and now the new Taycan Turbo GT, maybe we might get a Macan GT?

Macan now has T. It's time for Macan GT since we clear do not want Macan Targa.

Porsche is a master at designing so many trim levels that the maximum amount of cash can be extracted from each customer, which makes it surprising that there isn't anything beyond the GTS. My guess is that Porsche had been planning on quietly phasing out the ICE Macan without much fanfare, in favor of the EV.

I like the idea of a GT. Remember the old PP put out 440. The current GTS are, what, 445? Porsche could go back to the drawing board and surplus parts bins for a 475HP GT? Retuned air suspension, stronger sway bars, larger brakes like the PP, and on….I’d look at one.

I'm pretty sure we'll get a "final edition" at some point when the ICE Macan ending production.

I am happy with the performance and handling of the current GTS. It more than meets my expectations for a SUV, CSUV, Hot Hatch or whatever one wants to call it.

The HP and Torque differences and how it affects real world performance between the modern S and GTS are said to be somewhat minimal for the cost differences. What makes one think the difference will be much different between a GTS and a GT?

If one needs more performance, add a safe tune for a lot less money. I suppose the warranty violation peeps will address this in ad nauseam.

Realistically, how many additional sales would Porsche realize from a GT? The base accounts for ~60% of all Macan sales with the S accounting for another ~30%. That leaves the GTS accounting for 10% of sales. I think a GT would simply cannibalize GTS sales, not entice buyers from other brands.

There’s no chance of this happening this year or soonish, right? I have a GTS build not locked but would definitely wait a year-ish for a higher trim

I'd hold out for the Turbo GT RS MAX SUPER.

I doubt it but would the 4.0 TT V8 fit inside the Macan? 468hp with a nice growl would work for me.
