Ordered our new Macan 2.0!
It was March of 2016 when I asked the question on this board if we would see a 4 cylinder Macan in the US. Many said no but Porsche decided yes and they are coming. So, knowing our 2011 Audi Q5 2.0T was ready for replacement I knew a new Macan 2.0 would be our next new machine. We ordered it yesterday and should see it by the end of July. We got a white one with the agate grey interior. We upgraded to the full leather package and I got the roof rails as well as a few other things. My dealer gave us 6% off MSRP and I had them throw in Techquipment winter floor mats and rear luggage compartment cover. I love the Q5 but test driving the Macan I could tell it was just more fun. Can't wait. Another inline 4 cylinder Porsche in the family. Who would have guessed?

The wife wasn't a big fan of the standard alcantara interior. they offer a leather upgrade for $1740 so we got that.
I wanted the roof rails for $380 so I can put the storage container up there on occasion.
The wife and I will both be driving it so I got the memory package for the seats, $370.
Heated seats for sure here in CT, $525.
Dark walnut trim for the wife at $550.
Heated steering wheel at $250
No pano roof, I have a 968 cabriolet and drive that when I want the sun. No Nav, we use our phones.
the nice thing is that the 2017 has the new PCM which is much improved over the old one.
Sticker at $52,365, we got it for $49k. Just what I wanted, no more, no less.
it is a very rare occurrence that the Porsche dealer sells a NEW Porsche for under $50k. The funny thing is that the sticker on my 1992 968 cab is over $60k!!!

I'm not a big fan of the Alcantara. Roof rails are a good addition especially since they cannot be added after production.
I think that color combination will look good with the Dark Walnut. Did you look at a Macan that had the Dark Walnut on the steering wheel as well? I really like the glossy feel and having two different textures on the wheel is nice. Kind of reminds me of my pool cue!
Also did you consider connect? Apple car play is nice and it will probably help resale value ( if you care) I know you said you did your research so you prob already aware of the options just offering my 2 cents
What an awesome car for under 50K! Congrats!!!

European Delivery
European delivery??? If and when they ever get the Macan diesel I'll buy one and I would definitely opt for European delivery. As for now my Cayman does it for us. Visited the Porsche Museum (and the Benz Museum) last year and would love to go back. We lived in Berlin for three years and Italy for three years. Our trip back last year was for just shy of a month and there is nothing like touring and driving in Europe.

I would love to do European delivery. Someday.
No question, many other great options but I did have a budget so we are happy with what we picked out.
Another interesting 2017 change, we drove a 2016 Macan S and the wife noticed that the vanity mirrors on the sun visors were NOT illuminated? What's up with that on a vehicle that costs over $60k? The salesman stated that some had illumination and some did not based on other equipment. He didn't like it either. Well, it looks like they made illumination standard across the full line according to the 2017 standard equipment on the configurator. The wife was happy about that.

Nice and congrats. Amazing how much car you got for under $50k!
I love the alcantara headliner in my Cayenne Turbo. I don't think I will ever get another Porsche without it. I will be interested to hear your feedback on the new 4 cylinder engines. Hopefully, it's not under powered for that size of a vehicle. Keep us posted!

The 2017 Macan 2.0 has 252hp and weighs in at 3900lbs so I suspect it will be just fine.
They advertise a 0-60 of 6.3 seconds. Not bad.
Yup, that was me on My Classic car, I thought about a Macan in Mint Green but the $6k definitely wouldn't work with the budget

We picked up our Macan on Thursday. It was delayed only a week due to the PCM issue. Loving it. Such a beauty and it goes great. Still learning all the features but we are getting many comments.
