My dealer worked with Jamie Dillon at Porsche cars North America. The 6-8 weeks is the longest it would be and the reason is variable. If you pick up in the summer, the factory shuts down and your delivery could be pushed back. Also if you drop the car off at a different location say London or Paris, you have to pay a shipping fee and it gets sent back to port differently. The factory won't prep the car prior to port and it will take longer for final delivery. Easiest and fastest is to drop the car off back at Stuttgart as it gets fastest to port and put on a ship. Even Leipzig takes longer, according to what I've been told. Yes if delivery is straight from factory to dealer the wait can be 3 weeks. Hope this helps! Also the Euro delivery is changing as we speak I just received my package and apparently its much different than in the past I'll know more in a month as I'll be back from my trip!!
