I made the Splitter out of .125" aluminum. Ii extends beyond the factory spoiler 3.75". It is mounted ti two L brackets that are bolted to the factory skid plates. The sides were cut to tie into the factory spoiler ahead of the flare. I powder coated the splitter to give it a finish consistent with the spoiler. II used captive fasteners to attach the splitter to the underside of the spoiler. One of the advantages of the splitter is it protects the spoiler at the corners from cracking. The splitter is very strong, I hit a fair sized raccoon at about 35mph and it suffered no harm. Without it the spoiler would have been destroyed. The splitter is cut straight across the back and eliminates the need for the lower front belly pan on 78 thru 86 cars
