    Hello CAlexio,
I am asking your advice re a cycling trip my wife and I are doing the second week of September. We are flying from the US to Venice Sept 9 and have a few days to sightsee before joining a Backcountry Cycling Tour in the Dolomites. Thinking of spending a few days in Venice or Lake Como. We have been to neither, our Italy travel is limited to a business l trip to Florence a dozen years ago. We can rent a car of travel by train.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. BTW I always enjoy reading your Rennlist posts!
    Best,

    Hi CAlexio,

I read your older posts regarding side scoops installation on your spyder... Well I want to install them too but i'm not sure which option is best. My main concern is to be sure and confident that they will not come off at high speeds or windy conditions.

There's this kit by Schnell that comes alonog with 6 taping screws for each scoop: http://www.schnellautosports.com/981...scoop-kit.html
But for what I've read you installed Suncoast ones that comes with 4 screws (or come with 6 too but you decided to use only 4?).

Have you had any issues with your scoops so far?... if you were to install them again would go for the 4 or the 6 screws options?

    I really appreciate your advice!!!
    Thanks

    Thanks!!!

    Hi CAlexio.
    Hope you are well.
I’ve booked to come over to the Rennsport event next Sept. Flying into SF on Sept 26th.
I’ve been looking at hotels and see that week is already really booked up and the prices are crazy high !!
Do you know if there is something happening in town over this week, or is this standard practice
    Currently a hotel near Fisherman’s Wharf is over $700 a night .....

Do you think you will be at the Rennsport event ?, it would be great to meet up if so.

Are you Porscheless at the moment or has your GT3 arrived now ?

    Cheers
    Shaun

Hey CAlexio Get those details worked out ahead of time as the Germans are not very flexible.
they had a cow when I extended my time by a week. Good luck.

Hi, Thanks for the information on the hounds tooth material. I have one other question: where did you source the red leather for the seats? Was that supplied by the local upholsterer? It looks like a good match. I think doing the hounds tooth now and saving the originals is a very good idea while giving the Spyder a classic look. Thanks, Steve (ncsurfer)

My wife and I are going to be in SF Oct 11-14. Any chance we could meet for coffee or a drink?
We are probably staying at the Campton or the Fairmont, finalizing details later tonight.
By then I should have a firm delivery date for the GT3; promise no discussion re PTS or deviated stitching.

Your political views seem to align with mine. Would like to follow you on facebook if that's OK. Also you seem to appreciate a slightly off kilter sense of humor....(Spectral class freighter)
