Congrats on picking up such a nicely optioned '11 CTT!! It's a beauty!!

I drove a 2014 CTT on Friday and was impressed w the handling, over the JGC SRT which seemed to manifest too much body roll and body shift on launch. The CTT, with the air suspension seemed to be buttoned down a bit better. Haven't driven the CD yet but I'm told expect steel springs only. My research suggests roadholding of .93 for the CTT vs .94 for the CD. M/T figure 8 testing 24.6 for the CTT vs 27.2 for the CD. Probably has something to do with the 200lb weight penalty.

I agree the SQ7 looks awesome. By the numbers: 130 lbs more than your CD but 0-60 in 4.7 vs CTT 4.2 & CD 6.8 (stock). No Figure8 testing yet but the regular Q7 does it in 26.5.

I suppose I need to go find a CD to drive. My question to you is, in your experience, did the diesel performance modification affect reliability? Would you do it again? Should I consider that CTT at $59k?

Thanks for the response and Im sorry to hear about your health issues. I've read rumors that they may sell new 2016s as used models but I'm not yet seeing firesale pricing. The 2018s will be a model refresh so it's likely prices will come down.

I have long highway commutes (30 miles each way) and my M3 at 14.9 mpg is fun but I can't pass a gas station. I'd like something with a robust tow rating but is fun to throw into corners. As you kept the Q5 instead of the CD, I'm supposing the Cayenne was a more engaging machine that required more driver input and perhaps rode a little rougher?

I absolutely loved my TDI Cayenne but poor health forced the sale. I had no launch problems with the bluespark on and it will take a fill second off of 0-60 and improve cruise mileage slightly. I am still absolutely sold on TDI in these heavier SUVs but you might want to see how the TDI scandal works out before going that route? I am not sure how the proposed fix applies if you just bought the vehicle so you might want to check into how that works? We fall into this "bought before Sept of 2015" category so we know what our settlement is. Our Q5 with the Bluespark rivals the SQ5 performance wise yet gets 35-38mpg on the highway regularly. SQ5 gasser owners tend to get about 22. If I was healthy, I would still own mine but would not hesitate to get another. I would also love to get a V8 TDI Q7 but that may not make it stateside.
