    I took your advice. Thanks.

That is, in fact, the exact car. I did not go as far as compression and leakdown. As I also recall, the "2" in the Carrera 2 emblem was incorrectly spaced on the car. There is clear evidence of paintwork, and likely accident damage to the rear. I do not recall anything specific wrt to the frame itself, however. But I recall being sufficiently turned off by the PPI to not spend the extra $$$ on leakdown. Frankly, I'm stunned that they haven't apparently bothered to, at least, properly install the spoiler switch place. I know this isn't quite the same as a Rennfax, but if I had to make a recommendation on this car, I'd suggest staying away from it.

    Dave,

Thanks for your reply. The car is linked here: http://www.grautogallery.com/vehicle...search=&page=1

I noticed the tires and upside down spoiler switch plate. I also read your post describing an airbag light that was on. I guess I'm most concerned to make sure the frame is straight and it has good compression and leak down test. Do you remember if you made it that far with the ppi?

James, if you're talking about that green car in Grand Rapids...I'm struggling a bit to remember the actual car now, but I recall that I obtained a PPI on it and the results turned me off completely. For one thing, I do recall it had three different makes of tires on it, which is a red flag to me. If you can give me more info on the car you're looking at, I can possibly shed more light on it, but I can't find the emailed PPI results on my system. I think it was back in Aug or Sep when I had it looked at? Cheers, Dave

    Hey,

I'm also looking for my first Porsche and looking at one that I think you already checked out in Michigan. I'm planning to have my own PPI done but I was wondering if you could shed some light on the car and who did the inspection. Thanks for any info.
