    Part 3

Everything tells me she needs more spring and damping. We plan to go up now to 700# in front and 950# in back. The idea being that the turn in needs to crisp up and the rear needs a lot more rate to dial in a power on oversteer. Do these rates seem reasonable?

Our tracks are smooth and technical. with 50% tight and 50% high speed corners.

I hope you don't mind me sending off this long email right out of the gates!

    Part 2
Last event I ran 600# front and 750# rear springs and we are still fighting a push. We had to lift the back a lot to get her to turn. We have 3.5 neg camber in front 2.75 neg camber rear. We have 7 deg caster, cant recall numbers but toe out in front, toe in in rear. No rear sway bar and stock 325IS front sway bar per the rules. Tire temps are good for radials and we have the pressures figured out and the tires are getting into the right temp range.

I think we have the cambers right and caster seems OK. But the car seems a little slow to take a set and still pushes. She is stable under brakes and can be forced into a slight oversteer with aggressive and jerky power application.

    Bryan,

I am running a E36 Aluminum block 323 M52 engined coupe in a touring car class in Central America and having a hard time dialing it in. We are very restricted to mostly stock engines etc... and must run a 205/50/15 Hankook Ventus street tire.

I have KONI 8611 2X inserts in modified coil over struts in front, KONI 3012 2X dampers in back with GC weight jackers. I am really baffled with the spring rates I am running and feel I am getting too far from reasonable. I guess I just hope for a bounce off that I am still in the range of possibility.

The car is 2480# with driver and has a 53%/47% F to R weight balance. We are running lightweight 15" rims and tires and E36 M3 Rotors front and rear with 4 piston brembo calipers. Overall we are lighter than stock unsprung weight.
