Put a piece of duct tape on your clock spring so it does not seperate.
You will need to remove the cowl that surrounds the stalk.
Remove the stalk- I think it is an 8 mm bolt- you get to it from the drivers side
You don't need to remove any wires from stalk just wiggle over the stud and out of the way.
With a small mag light that gives a fine beam look between the steering column and where it enters the dash. Looking from the left side of the column and you should see a bundle of wires just past the dash ie: follow the clockspring wire. There will be a black zip tie and the clock spring wire will make a 90 degree turn left and go into two the plugs. If you cut the zip tie (carefully) those 2 orange plugs will pull through the dash and you plug the new one in and you are done.
Make sure you plug the wires into the correct socket because they can be interchanged.
You may be able to remove your speedo to get the flashlight in there for better lighting.

    Jake,
thanks for your reply. Sounds great, I have spend hours under the dash in past projects and as you know with feet on the seatback and head down under this is not very pleasant. So if you have a step by step as to how avoid this, please enlighten me now, I can then sort of try it out up front before I affix the clockspring and put the steering wheel back on. Still need to put the second brace on the lower finger anyway...
    Thanks!
