Hi, my name is Nathan. We talked at Grant Park mall a few weeks ago.
I posted on Rennlist about the issues I'm having with my '79 928 stalling about starting. The help I received suggested the following:
"your going to need to check the control and operating pressures to figure out the issue ,
Roger has a set of Gauges.
But off the bat I will say you probably have a vacuum leak,
once the pedal is pushed the system goes to a leaner mixture then it stalls.
If a vacuum leak is not found the gauges are needed"
Would you have the tools and time to check for a vacuum leak? Thank you for considering.
I greatly appreciate the offer. Thank you. If I can't come up with a number 1 wire, I will likely take you up on the offer. I don't like the idea of not being able to start the car for a couple of weeks, but it may be the way to go.
