Not sure you saw my post, but I think I know the source of your raw fuel smell. If you are smelling gasoline, it's most likely the plastic y pipe that leads to the charcoal canister... all part of the evaporative emission system and is hidden under the passenger side front fender. Buy the stainless steal replacement and never have to worry about that smell again.
