I just noticed the G500 on your list of vehicles. I am keen to get one of these next. We currently have a Mercedes 1993 500E sedan which is great fun. I originally thought of the G500 instead of the G55 AMG version as I assumed the 500 would get better (or just less atrocious) fuel mileage. Apparently it does not, so am now looking at the G55. How have you liked the G? Would you go with 500 again or G55? My local Indy shop who works on the 500E feels that the 04 and 05 are best, with some tranny problems 06-07 that were resolved with newer models.

RAC Performance (formerly RUF Dallas) has done all of my work. Zims and Mayo are also good shops. Stay away from the dealers and I have not heard of any other local shops that know 993s.

I also live in the Dallas area, Frisco, and was wondering which shop you use for your 993.
