Brent, in all seriousness, if I had to replace a distributor belt again, I wouldn't hesitate to send it to someone who really knew what they were doing. I believe the cost not including shipping would be around $150 and you get new distributor bearings as a bonus; money well spent IMO. If you're dead set on doing it yourself, be sure to buy the new belt (about $10 from Pelican) and the necessary roll pin (i could only find it at Porsche of Tysons; be sure to buy an extra; they're only about a dollar) before you begin. Since I did mine approx. 8 years ago, someone posted better instructions on the 964 forum that included how to do it without taking the two distributors completely apart. Look for it.

I'm working on a deal to purchase a 92 964 c2. I found your suggestions about replacing the distributor belt on the 964. I was wondering if you're still in the area? I live in Baltimore, so N.Va isn't that much of a drive for me if you would be willing to help me out.
