Sorry about the long respnose, my father had a brain anurisim on jan 3rd, im just now returning to normal and htis is the first time I have been back on here since.
Sounds to me like a clucth switch
you can try unpluging it. It is the grey switch with 2 individual wires going to it. un plug the wires and jump them with a paper clip and see if it starts. switch is about 40$ and is held by one screw

    Hi firehawk:
Thanks for your fast response. Understand when you say you don't do side jobs, however, hope that would not restrain you from giving me some advice. Here is the issue:
My car, MY99, C2, 6 speeds, coupe, always starts fine 1st thing in the AM, however, in an unexpected or random way, some times when I turn the key the car won't start, wait 10sec before cranking it again, but nothing.Jump starting won't help, make sure the clutch is pressed all the way, and nothing,it will only start if the car is pushed started. Don't think is the battery cause all electrical parts work ok, the volt meter shows above 12 volts and I can't hear the tipical "tack, tack, tack" of the starter trying to turn under low voltage, it just does nothing. The starter switch was replace with the new model including the ignition lock housing. any suggestions?

    Hi firehawk:
Do you make repairs on the side?
Would like to know in case I need your services.
