John - Hope this helps...I have the receipt somewhere as well. With tax I paid $290.00 through local bike shop. Yakima gives no discounts to retailers or public. I bought the rack system last summer, used carrying a cargo box only once! I think the price I am offering is very fair. Let me know...dannen

Hi - I enjoyed your thread about auto crossing last weekend. Sounds like it was a blast. I'm interested in the yakima rack but I'm hoping you can come down on your price. I'm located in Rancho Cordova, just outside Sacramento along Hwy 50 and could meet you by the freeway (50 or 80) as you pass through town. I'm sort of on the fence regarding this purchase. Does the rack attach to factory roof rails or directly to the roof? I have roof rails currently installed. What condition is the rack in?
