Hola,

I noticed you are fairly local to me (I'm about 3hr from Tucson, 5ish from PHX), so I was hoping to get a bit o' advice from you. I'm working on a brake bleeding problem, but I noticed evidence of frame repair on the drivers side (right by where the bracket for the sway bar bolts in on the front), with a weld that is cracking and has holes in it. The car feels like it tracks straight and true, but I was hoping you might have a couple of recommendations for body/frame shops in AZ that I might be able to limp her too and get this checked out properly, and then fixed properly, if needed.

Any help is appreciated. I'm pretty new to this whole porsche world, and have no experience with body/frame issues.

BTW, poblem solved after getting the OPRV completely apart like your picture. ALso R&R the head OPR and installed new chain tensioner guides ($156) and cleaned oil cooler. 2.5bar at idle and 4 BAR hot above 2oooRPM. Did not use alignment tools l as it screwed in OK. Still using 10-30 wt. The oil cooler gets some heat to reject now. Thanks!

Hi John, I have a timing belt question for you concerning early 944s. Porsche changed the roller tensionner stud length from 106mm to 101 mm for the later years 944s. The 106mm stud is no longer available and the new shorter stud doesn't engage sufficiently. Any ideas what I should do concerning this problem. Thanks for your time.
