Hi my name is Anthony and I noticed you started a thread on a 1984 928 euro I believe I ended up with that car. I was wondering where you ended with it any information would help.

    Jeff:

Of course I will help. If there is even a little air getting in on your patch (hence the steam), you could be getting air in your system. That would cause air getting trapped in a host of places which would impede flow. When the hose comes in or when you know it is coming in, just give me a jingle and I will come out and help you. We will figure it out for sure.

    Best, Michael

    Michael,

I think I might need your help again. I order a new radiator hose and it should be on its way. In the meantime I patched the damaged one. It doesn't leak any liquid, but there is something leaking steam from the driver's side of the rad. The car has been running just a little on the hot side the last couple of days, and water has been evaporating (despite the use of wetter). There are no puddles underneath the car (except for a slight oil leak I can't find). Oil level is fine. The rad is in a slightly different position (maybe 1/8" to 1/4") but its flush with the fan radiator in front and the shroud sits fine, as well the radiator hose does not hit the belt. There was no need to zip tie the hose to the shroud in my case, which makes me think that perhaps I do have it installed incorrectly. When I moved the raiator I was very careful and nothing got damaged.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jeff
