Hi Patrick, I've just been reading your Speedhunters article and was interested in your fuel pump setup, as I am just sorting that side of my engine install. I like how you have put them in the spare wheel well, all looks nice and neat. We use this same swirl pot setup on our big powered cosworths. The only thing that concerns me is the direction you have the fuel pumps facing, as this would mean you are pressurizing the swirl pot, which will not like 80 plus psi. Was this a dummy build as I see they were not wired up. Hope things are going well with the car and good luck next season.

    Cheers Turbotim

hello...I noticed your postings and such concerning CF hoods along with the pictures you posted of that sweet looking black 944 with thCF hood. I'm looking for CF hood and curious where you picked up yours?

    Thanks
    Tom

Thanks for sharing, that's looks like a blast to drive!!! You're right, that car ahead of you was choosing some odd places to slow down, and I'm sure it's hard to figure out if something feels out of place when you've made so many changes to the car - the whole car probably felt somewhat new. Pretty heartbreaking crash. Glad you're ok. The beast shall live to race again.

Man, that sucks! Glad you're ok and the car isn't a loss. Keep me posted on the rebuild pics.

Evil bay. $399 Aussie dollars. 100% c/f. Some sort of Chinese knock off but it's actually very good quality. I have no idea or any quantifiable data regarding it's effectiveness but my guess is that they just ripped off some other wing that has been tested and does provide some downforce. My front aero is just a CPR splitter. I bought both versions but the race one got ripped off and run over when I forgot that it was on the car but without the metal fasteners. D'oh! So I've been using the smaller road version which is way easier to manage bumps , driveways etc.
I am actually going to try and upgrade my car from road/track to track specific and may well try a few other things. I'm looking at those little side wings on the front fenders just in front of the wheel arch. I saw a couple of high end race 951 recently in Wisconsin with this and it looks like a good idea.
Just another thing to add to the pile.....

Where did you get your rear wing? Do you have any data on whether it works to provide down force? Could you post some photos and also of your front aero setup. I know that is a lot to ask, I am improving my aero package for next seasons racing. Thanks.

Thanks Tim. Once this is all installed I'll take some pics and videos. That is going to sound interesting to say the least.
