I am finally getting ready to pull the trigger on a used 996, I'm looking at a 2002 online. Can you give a first timer any buying advice, such as what to ask the seller, have the car inspected for or other general suggestions? Is there a particular year of 996 that is problematic or preferred?

Don't know enough to know whether I need Delvac - does the fluid level drop between changes? tnx for confirming Ceres. I'm exploring Canadian spec M1 5w50 as well, since some believe the additives differ from US and that it matters. I dunno...... tnx! jim
