Well, my car is arriving a few weeks earlier than expected! I sent John a few email messages all last week, but have yet to see a reply. It's somewhat disconcerting. Does John have a tendency to go silent once in a while?

Well, I hope we learn how to fix this hesitation issue while John is working on your car ... My car doesn't arrive at BGB until April. I opted to get the stock Sport Suspension on my build, but I *was* thinking about having BGB install a GT3 master cylinder to help with the brake pedal feel. I didn't like the feel of a stock Boxster S I test-drove. Is the GT3 master cylinder what is going on your car?

I have started following this issue with base Boxters hesitating from a dead stop on Planet-9. I was surprised to read on Rennlist that you also ran into issues with this after your 3.8L conversion, is that correct? How quickly did this problem become apparent?

I ended up ordering a base Boxster to be delivered directly to BGB for the 3.8L conversion. Ideally, I’d like BGB to run into this problem so they can take a shot at fixing it (even if it’s not related to the engine swap). The dealers don’t seem to be any help for people with stock cars, so I doubt that my local dealer would figure this out on a car with an engine swap. Any tips on how to force this problem to become visible quickly?

Do you have OBD2 testing where you live? I'm trying to figure out if I will have trouble passing such a car through Oregon inspections. I expect that the emissions themselves will be fine, but I'm worried that the OBD2 reading may show that the engine doesn't match the car.

I've been following your Boxster 3.8L conversion with interest and am considering doing the same. I've contacted John Tecce from BGB, and I like what I'm hearing, but what I'm really looking for is honest customer experiences.

Are you still happy with your conversion? Best/worst part of the experience for you? Is this something suitable for a daily driver, or is this a project car? I've never owned any Porsches or any heavily modified cars (currently drive a stock S2000), so I'm somewhat nervous about diving headfirst into unknown territory. Any information you could share would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!
