I'd love to have RAID 6, but unless you have couple of controllers lying around, along with the necessary extra drives, A. for the data protection sections, and to give me enough space to move around the files I'd need to create the new partitions.

I'm with ya man, I'd love to have RAID 6, but I'm just fighting to afford the space to keep the stuff I have, and the necessary files for backup. Luckily my main backups are just duplication on my two laptops, but I have to get better with syncing that crap.
