    Hey Richard,

    Searching for info on bumper cover repair (Mine's an '86 951 with polyurethane bumper cover.), I came across your post from about 5 years ago. It mentioned using Gorilla Glue to fix your cracked front bumper cover. As it happens, Gorilla Glue is polyurethane, and since my and other mid-80s Porsches also had polyurethane bumper covers, I wonder 1.) if your bumper cover is also polyurethane, and; 2.) how the Gorilla Glue is holding up.

    Could it be that this vexing problem (Local body shops seem clueless.) of using a chemically compatible and durable fix for a cracked Porsche bumper cover could be as simple as Gorilla Glue + open mesh fiberglass tape?

    Anyhow, any suggestions or insights on what works and what doesn't, would help a lot.

    TIA,

    Dash01

    Black Car;
    I have had 3 or 4 Pioneer head units, 3-4 Alpine units, and now a Sony head unit. I've had maybe 4-5 amps. I replaced the factory stuff day 1. I think that any decent shop can do the work for you. I do my own, but the work isn't the neatest.

    Hi Richard, Wondering if you have experience with someone knowledgeable about installing a radio in a 993? I'm thinking that in your 300K plus miles, you may have had the sound system updated. My factory hi-fi system is acting up and I don't want to just give my 993 to anyone. My plan is to have a modern radio installed, but keep the speakers. Thanks in advance.
