Paul,
the backing plate on the PC takes a 6.5" pad. I have the following pads:
orange -med cutting
yellow - light cutting
white - med polish
black - light polish

The products that I use are:
Paint cleanse:
Meguiar's car wash (or whatever is on sale at CT: they all seem about the same)
Meguiar's blue clay bar
Optimum detailing spray/ or 1 capful of Optimum No Rinse in a spray bottle with water (makes detailing spray basically)
Paint correction:
Meguiar's Scratch X -med scratches - orange or yellow pad
Optimum Polish - mild swirls/scratches - orange or yellow pad

Sealing:
Optimum PolySeal - very light swirls - white pad
P21S concours wax - Black pad -buff off with microfibre bonnet and towels

Maintain:
Optiseal - applied by hand (takes 5 mins), buff with microfibre towel.

303 aerospace protectant - all rubber (incl tires) vinyl, sun-exposed leather (dash)
Lexol leather care - seats
Blue magic polish - exhaust tips
Plexus - polycarbonate lens
Stoner's glass polish- windows
