The turbo versions and some S models have air suspension and wanted to pick your brain regarding just that. If I were to add rear air shocks from a turbo and a basic compressor plus one way check valve like you find on any universal air bag helper kit for trucks would that work?? The proper air suspension system has both damping settings and height settings, how are these handled with just one air inlet?? I just wanted to add air until it sits right again but am concerned about it's stiffness rating. Is their an electronic mechanism inside the shock for damping?

Any breakdown how that system works would be great.

    Thanks!

(this is a repeat email I just sent to your account on Expedition Portal)

    Cole,

Since we last messaged I've put on some 275/65/18 Cooper ATPs with 5mm spacers, not sure about the accrued mileage but man those things started howling about 6,000 miles ago. They've survived a ton of abuse offroading (no exaggeration) so guess I got my monies worth.

Our last excursion into the desert left the rear suspension (steel springs) sagging about 1.5" lower than the front and a remedy will need to be pursued, going to get under it tonight and look for cracked coils or anything obvious. Locating new OE steel springs so far is somewhat impossible, there are sets of low mileage used springs/shocks which could be an option but my question for you is regarding air suspension.

Hi Cole; I read your ips for this supention problem and it might be as the compresor is fault. The car goes up and down normaly but after many ours park, one side (driver front) is completly down. You turn it on and it comes to the "normal" level. Besides this the car is a higher from 1 side, 5cm you can notice. Can you send me info about those orings and bolts you comment. Unfortunatly the page is not on the web anymore.

    Regards

    Paul

Saw your post on painting your carpet. Which paint did you use? Flat, gloss, or satin? How is it holding up?
