    What I ended up doing...and this maybe an isolated event. I unscrewed the plastic cover for the lock pin. The one you would pull up if you were sitting in the car...or the one that that goes up and down when you use your keyless. I used needle nose to push it down and up and it triggered it.

    Sorry to bother you but I have the same problem you had on your 944 a year ago. I can't open passenger door on my 968. I have seen your thread but I don't understand what you ment by "When the door closes, another metal piece comes up from below and forms a "circle" around the pin. If you push down on this lower piece...it disengages the upper "claw""? If you look at this picture. Where would you say this lower part is?
