Hey gpr I was reading through threads concerning mounting the boxster 17x8.5 et50 wheels on the front of a late 944.

You said yours fit perfectly. What suspension do you have and did you have to touch your fenders or roll them.

I'm contemplating putting a square set for auto X events. And want to make sure they'll fit.

Current setup will be koni dual adjustable. With adjustable camber plates. And 300lb springs. I think that's what I have.

Do you predict any problems ?

Thanks for all your help and for having posted such info in the first place.

    Tim.

    Hi gpr -

Just read your post (May, 2011) about work you've had done on your motors (your response to some crazy money CrisJ951 was going to spend on his rebuild).

I'm in the South Bay area and am trying to find a So Cal shop that knows 944 motors. I have a 944S that I want to rebuild - only problem is my bores appear to be out of spec. I'm looking for a machine shop that has the Sunnen equipment and expertise to hone the Alusil cylinders properly. Assuming I can get that done, I would need someone to drill and balance my crank (lighten if not too pricey) and rebuild the head.

Putting out as many feelers as I can - will appreciate any recommendations/references you would be willing to pass along.

    Thanks in advance,

    John Wynhoff
