Sorry to hear about your fire. And, I agree with the others. There are lots of good sources for comps. Unfortunately, you're dealing with your own insurance co instead of "the other guy's insurance co," since there isn't an other guy. Put up a good fight. Just keep insisting on your number. They will cave is you're being reasonably fair.

To the point, I would like to buy the car from you or the insurance company. If my memory is correct, you should be able to buy it for salvage value. I would love to be kept in the loop, if that's possible. We have a shop in Carson City and I have a GT motor that's going to waste just sitting on a stand waiting for the market to improve so I can sell it. Might as well make an all Porsche track car, as mine is running a Chevy.
