Haven't seen any of your posts lately Pete. Hope all is well with you and your outlaw 997. After 12 years of 996 ownership I'm getting the itch for something else , but not sure what. Just checking in to see how you are. Steve B,

Hey Pete. Good listing and I'm thinking about your set.... A slight concern with the age of the front rubber and dry rot due to the age. I realize the wheels may not be perfect cosmetically which is OK with me but I need the wheels to be without bends or cracks. Would you mind taking a look at the rubber for cracks and rate the wheels on a scale of 1-10? Thanks. Jay.

Oh, I forgot to mention...I invaded your Great State of Wisconsin a couple of weeks ago to attend the TUDOR USCC races at Road America...best darn track in America w/best track food (still). But driving back to Cincy on Sunday evening-circumventing Chicagoland-was torturous.

... once you figure out disconnecting the drive shaft both drops easily, I would drop both and seperate on the ground. Alot easier to wrestle on the ground than up there, this includes remounting the new motor.

Pete, Ive never done it, but from what I understand is that you disconnect the drive shaft coupling from the output of the tranny going to the front diff. This is what the dyno guys do with AWD cars. Im assuming your gonna drop the engine ad tranny at the same time.
