    hello ronnie993tt,
    i have a 96 993tt and have the problem of startup smoke after not using the car for a couple months.
    are you saying that, instead of installing the check valve kit, you just lower the oil level to half way before
    storing the car for a couple months?
    would really appreciate an email reply at: hoyles01@yahoo.com.
    i am really tired of the humiliation of driving it while smoking until the oil burns off!
