Lou, I have been working on a new design of Cowl Cover for the late 944, but I don't have one to be able to finalize the form to be sure that they will fit correctly. There is a thread about this development on the 944 Rennlist Forum, a couple of years ago. If you were close maybe I could use your 944 for the fitting??? Jerry Feather

Don't know of anyone who can use it. Ed of Prefex Mfg. has the Holbert car and I believe he has straightened it. Thanks for letting me know, happy holidays!

Lou, got your message. The parts car I think, has a sunroof. Are you talking about the car on Craigslist? It was a two-fer, along with a white one, if I recall...you bought them?

Hi Lou... the only other 928 mechanic in the somewhat nearby area would be Les (only him) at Doc's Grrrage in Columbia, SC (Lexington actually). Like Jim Burton, he cut his teeth on Porsches when the 928's were in production. Only 1.5 hours each way.
I have also heard good things about ProTech Motorsports in Greenville, SC. And lastly, John Forbes at Black Forest Racing or his former lead tech Lou at his new place (check TR advert)... as last choices.
Those are the closest ones. If you can get the car to the Raleigh area, then Ray Munsch is the man to see (don't know his shop name).
Good luck & hope to see you at SITM!

Sorry about the very slow reply- Aug.! -I don't get on this site to often, so I'm slow about navigating thru it. You have a great car! -One of my favorites, with nice wheels, RH's look good on these S-3 cars. I have a '85 White, Navy interior,5spd. Bought as a kind of a project car, mech. strong, new clutch, water pump, belts, front seals ect. Interior needed alot of the usaul, seat covers, dash, carpet ect. I now have most of this done, The body has been touched up before, would like eventually to repaint entire car, but do it right with glass out ect. Love thse cars!

Lou, Sorry, I believe the wheels are 7.5" front & 10" back. They look better in person...
