    OK good, this should be an easy fix. Thanks for the nice pic's. We settled at $21.5k and we will transfer title tomorrow. I wonder why the workshop manual shows a different looking solenoid. Does any one sell a parts manual or is there one online?

    Yes, that's a 99 3.4 motor in the pics. Actually both parts are for a 3.4. The wire in the first set can be seen in the second set. The first pics show a seal replacement from the outside (aka easy job) the second is the actual solenoid (seen in first pics from outside) much more involved and much much less likely to be the actual cause of the leak
